The Avon Community Heritage
Festival has announced yet
another first in its ongoing
quest for excellence in
local pre-festival
activities.
All Avon High School alumni
from the 1980s and 1990s
are invited to participate
in a Flag Football 7 vs. 7
on Wednesday, September 24th
at 6:30 pm at the AHS
Varsity Stadium. A Powder
Puff game is also being
organized for the same date
and location. The 1980s
players will play those from
the 1990s.
The 80s groups will be
coached by former Varsity
Coach Larry Weatherald and
the 90s participants will
be coached by former Varsity
Coach Jim Kaiser.
Participants should sign up
by September 18, 2008 by
calling Avon Chamber Board

President of the Avon
Community Heritage Festival
Board, These events are
being staged as part of
celebration activities
leading up to the 10th
Anniversary of the Festival
on September 26th
and 27th. This
may be your time to win one
for the valley! He added
that board member Doug
Elmore and Keith Ward would
both be assisting in the
organization of this special
event.
Participants need not to
have played football. All
former athletes,
cheerleaders, students, band
members, managers are
welcomed.
The 10th Annual
Avon Community Heritage
Festival will be held
Friday, September 26 and
Saturday, September 27,
2008.
